Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to WoodenWeld (Pty) Ltd.
By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to these Terms of Service.
If you do not agree, please do not use our website or submit any personal information.


2. Services

WoodenWeld (Pty) Ltd provides custom furniture, steelwork, and carpentry services.
All products are made to order based on client specifications and approved designs.
We reserve the right to refuse any project that does not align with our standards or capabilities.


3. Quotations

  • All quotations are valid for 14 days unless otherwise stated.
  • A quotation is considered accepted once confirmed in writing and the required deposit has been paid.
  • Prices are based on the specifications, measurements, finishes, and materials agreed upon at the time of quoting.
  • Any changes to specifications after acceptance may result in price and timeline adjustments.

4. Deposit & Payment Terms

  • A 75% deposit is required upon acceptance of the quotation.
  • No materials will be ordered and no production will commence without receipt of the deposit.
  • The remaining 25% balance must be paid before final installation, delivery, or completion.
  • WoodenWeld reserves the right to withhold installation or completion until full payment has been received.
  • If final payment is not made, WoodenWeld reserves the right to remove and reclaim the products.
  • Deposits are non-refundable once materials have been ordered or production has commenced.

5. Production & Lead Times

  • Standard production time is approximately 2–3 weeks.
  • Lead times are subject to change depending on workload, product complexity, material availability, and unforeseen circumstances.
  • Estimated completion dates are guidelines and are not guaranteed deadlines.

6. Changes & Variations

  • All design decisions, finishes, and specifications must be finalised before production begins.
  • Any changes requested after production has started may result in additional costs and extended timelines.
  • The client is responsible for payment of all approved variations.

7. Client Decisions & Delays

  • All design selections, finishes, materials, and specifications must be confirmed before production begins.
  • Delays in providing approvals, design decisions, or required information from the client may result in adjustments to the project timeline.
  • WoodenWeld will not be held responsible for delays in project completion caused by late client decisions or approvals.

8. Measurements & Site Responsibility

  • If the client provides measurements, WoodenWeld is not responsible for inaccuracies.
  • The client must ensure the site is accessible, safe, and ready for installation.
  • Delays caused by site conditions or third parties may result in additional charges and may also affect or extend the project completion timeline.

9. Material Variations

  • Natural materials such as wood and melamine may vary slightly in grain, texture, and colour.
  • Minor variations are not considered defects.
  • Colour differences between samples and final products may occur due to lighting and batch differences.

10. Completion & Responsibility

  • Upon completion, the client must inspect the project.
  • Once the client confirms satisfaction, responsibility for the product transfers to the client.
  • WoodenWeld is not responsible for damage occurring after handover.
  • Damage caused by third parties not employed by WoodenWeld will be repaired at additional cost.

11. Warranty

WoodenWeld provides a 6-month workmanship warranty from the date of installation or delivery.
This warranty covers defects directly related to faulty workmanship under normal use and does not cover:

  • Normal wear and tear
  • Water or moisture damage
  • Heat damage or prolonged sun exposure
  • Misuse, overloading, or negligence
  • Damage caused by other contractors or third parties
  • Alterations or modifications made after installation

WoodenWeld’s responsibility under this warranty is limited to repair or replacement of the affected area, at its discretion.


12. Ownership

All products remain the property of WoodenWeld until full payment has been received.


13. Storage

If installation or collection is delayed after completion due to the client, storage fees may apply.


14. Legal

These Terms are governed by the laws of South Africa.
Any disputes shall fall under the jurisdiction of the courts of Bloemfontein.


15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service periodically.
Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised “Last Updated” date.
Your continued use of our website or services indicates acceptance of the updated terms.
